Four seasons
Choose the right month for the right experience
Align activities with safer, lower-impact windows: avalanche checks in winter, blossoms in spring, crisp mornings in summer, and quieter ridgelines in autumn.

Winter
Stay on designated snow routes and assess avalanche risks beforehand. Keep dogs on a leash and steer clear of quiet zones.
Check safety bulletin
Spring
Late spring brings blooms to many valleys: avoid muddy edges to prevent trail widening, and hike at dawn for birdlife.
Summer
Begin early to reach glaciers, swim only in designated zones, and think about microspikes for early-season snowfields.
Autumn
Golden forests and cooler mornings yield calmer hikes. Choose less busy huts and stay on solid trails.
